    The Brookside Club a year round, daily fee, public golf course located in Bourne, Massachusetts, is currently looking for an individual with experience to take care of our turf equipment .
    QUALIFICATIONS:  The preferred applicant should have some experience in small engine and turf equipment repairs. The applicant should also have some experience in reel and bedknife grinding. Maintaining a clean, safe, well organized shop is a must.
    SALARY:  Based on experience

    The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a Golf Mechanic II to join their Golf Division team!

    Working under the general/direct supervision of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, the Golf Mechanic II maintains and repairs all light and heavy duty golf course equipment. Sharpening and grinding reels on a regular basis. Establishes and implements a coordinated preventative maintenance program for all turf equipment and vehicles

    High School diploma or equivalency plus training in automotive and turf machinery. Three years’ experience in maintenance and repair of golf course equipment. Knowledge of diesel systems.
    Physical requirements include frequent moderate to strenuous physical effort required to perform functions under shop conditions. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel. Frequently required to lift heavy objects.
    Special Requirements Ability to obtain MA Hoisting Engineer’s License Grade 2B.

    Facility Description:  Private 18 holes

    Experience Desired:  At least 3 years experience as golf course mechanic or related field    

    Duties Description:  Golf Club of New England is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to oversee and maintain a broad spectrum of turf care equipment.

    The equipment manager/mechanic will be responsible for a fleet of equipment from all three major golf course equipment suppliers.  We also have Club car carts as well as many other small pieces of Stihl and Honda equipment.

    • The equipment tech must possess good organizational and record keeping skills.
    • Must be able to perform moderate physical labor.
    • Must be able to communicate with superintendent and assistant superintendent on a daily basis.
    • Must be responsible for ordering parts and keeping track of inventory.
    • Must have computer skills
    • Proficiency in Express Dual 3000 and Angle Master 3000 grinding is preferred.
    • Has an understanding of reel grinding and mower setup and the effect on course conditions
    • Has the ability to establish preventative maintenance programs
    • Shop organization skills
    • Understanding of golf course equipment electronics and hydraulics
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
    • All other job related skills such as welding, fabricating, electrical will be taken into consideration

    Compensation / Benefits:  $50-70K/year.  Paid time off, health, dental and vision insurance.  Bonus Potential.

    Description:  The 2nd assistant will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistant to further the goals of the membership to promote firm and fast daily conditions. Experience with pesticide and fertilizer applications. Irrigation troubleshooting and water management is preferred. 2nd assistant will be exposed to all projects and daily operations, including bunker restoration, course set up, crew management and water management.  Plans to replace irrigation system and maintenance facility are implemented.

    Requirements:  2-4 year, winter school education or certificate program, 2 years golf course experience

    Assistant Superintendent - Alpine Country Club

    Description:  Alpine Country Club is a private 18-hole design by Geoffrey Cornish in Cranston, RI. Opened in 1960, the course comprises 150 acres which includes the golf course, extensive practice facilities, a pool area and horticultural amenities. Alpine has a growing, active membership with annual rounds at 17,000+ during a ten month season.

    Education:  Four or two year degree preferred in Turf Management or related field. Should possess or be able to obtain RI Pesticide Applicators License.
    Experience: As part of the Alpine team you will be expected to help manage work efficiently around play. Candidate should have strong experience in basic maintenance tasks, irrigation management, equipment operation training, fertilizer/pesticide applications, course set-up, and IPM scouting. Should ideally have at least 2 years’ experience in managing and training staff to perform at a level to exceed our members and guests expectations.

    Most importantly candidate should have a people oriented demeanor that meshes with our mature staff, helps integrate new staff, our other departments and the rest of our Alpine family.

    Salary and Benefits:  Salary range starting at $52,000-56,000 based on qualifications, full benefit package with some employee contribution, paid vacation per club policy, uniforms, local association dues and education paid for, meals, golf privileges.     Colonial DryJect & Turf Services, based out of Plymouth, MA is seeking equipment operators to run various aeration equipment on golf courses located in Eastern New England.

    You will be operating tractors with attachments, some walking equipment, and will eventually need to drive a truck and trailer (under CDL weight)

    You will be paid to train and travel. We generally spend up to 15 nights in hotels over the entire year.

    Hourly rate is between $17-21/hr based on experience.

    We prefer seasonal full time but we also have a full time year round position.
